SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE FIRST WORKSHOP: INTRODUCTION TO ENERGY SOURCESCON

The first workshop on “energy efficiency, photovoltaic solar systems and maintenance of installed equipment” was successfully completed, called: “Introduction to Energy Sources” delivered by the Energy Company of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina EEDAS S.A. E.S.P., financed with resources from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through the Non-Conventional Energy and Efficient Management Fund (FENOGE) of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, as an integral part of the BeEnergy energy reconversion project, through which, knowledge is given to the community of the islands to advance in the energy transition processes that are being implemented in the country.

For five weeks, at comfortable hours, the apprentices, together with their instructors, had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of using solar energy as an alternative source for the development of daily activities in society.

These academic spaces will continue to be developed throughout the year, in an effort to integrate the island population into the projections of change in the energy matrix of the archipelago.

The apprentices were certified for attending the program, and an upcoming workshop is about to start, which will continue to provide knowledge and experience to technicians from the islands. General workshops on energy management and rational and efficient use in homes will be held in the different neighborhoods of San Andrés. These trainings will also reach the sister island of Providencia.

All workshops will be published on the EEDAS S.A. networks. E.S.P. as well as in different media of the archipelago, through networks, radio and television. Stay tuned and sign up. All these cycles of workshops will be free of charge and certified.
