THE THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL WOKRSHOP ON ELECTRIC TRANSPORT AS A SUSTAINABILITY TOOL WAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE

From April 5 to 7, the practical theoretical workshop on the Implementation of Electric Transport as a Sustainability Tool, given by the National University, Caribbean headquarters, was carried out successfully, in person and virtually, within the framework of the Think Green project, advanced by the Energy Company of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, EEDAS S.A. E.S.P., of which the Government of the Archipelago is a part, and institutions such as SENA and the National Institute of Technical and Professional Training INFOTEP.

During 16 hours, distributed in four sessions, the attendees immersed themselves in the basic concepts of the new technologies that propose a modern, sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility system, which is now making its way on the islands, with the purpose that the archipelago, progress in the carbon neutrality agenda, and the electric vehicle plan for the country, promoted by the national government.

This is the first workshop, of four in total, that have been designed, in association with the National University and other committed institutions, with the Think Green project, which EEDAS S.A. has been leading. E.S.P., which will address the implementation of the use of photovoltaic energy in the hospital, photovoltaic charging center for vehicles, and information monitoring and analysis systems linked to public services.

With these workshops, the energy company of the archipelago continues to open spaces so that more and more citizens of San Andrés and Providencia can appropriate knowledge and participate in the transformation of the use of clean energy in daily life.
