EEDAS S.A. E.S.P. MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS TO FACE THE HURRICANE SEASON THIS YEAR

As of May of this year, according to the National Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOOA), the cyclonic season begins, also called Hurricane Season, which, every year, represents a serious risk for the San Andres Archipelago, Providence and Saint Ketlina, therefore, the Empresa de Energía del Archipiélago EEDAS S.A. E.S.P., it is allowed to remind the entire island population of the protection measures to avoid accidents:

IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS OR SECTORS:

  • Together with your neighbors, verify that the energy conduction lines do not have elements that weigh down the conduction cables (branches, kites, ropes, etc.).
  • The external home connections must also be free of elements that generate the service output, such as bushes and/or construction elements such as wood or rods.

IN YOUR HOME OR ESTABLISHMENT:

  • Verify that the internal installations do not have ties or additions without the proper casing.
  • Check that the protection elements (break or fuses) are in good condition.

We must also remember that electrical connections should only be handled by experts (technicians) and we should not expose ourselves to risks due to their improper handling. Remember that the safety of home and our loved ones is in everyone’s hands.

Let’s team up for the well-being of all, they are recommended by EEDAS S.A. E.S.P, your energy company.
