VISITA DE LA MINISTRA DE AGRICULTURA Y DESARROLLO RURAL AL TERMINAL PESQUERO.

EEDAS S.A. E.S.P. headed by the general manager, Randy Allen Bent Hooker, accompanied the visit to the Fishing Terminal, by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cecilia López Montaño, which was attended by different entities such as the Departmental Government, with the presence of the Governor and the Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries; SENA, the fishermen’s union, the NGO Blue Indigo Foundation, which works with the support of Coralina, and the outpost of this ministry. During the tour, the minister was able to observe the conditions of the building, its surroundings and what is needed to make it fully operational.

EEDAS explained to the attendees the management of everything installed in the terminal. The engineer Radley Huffington, showed all the electrical adjustments installed by the company, a two (2) Kw wind turbine, three (3) cold rooms: one for freezing, one for conservation and one for processes, in addition to the freezing room that has an ice machine, which works powered by solar energy; This being the installation with the largest capacity powered by non-conventional sources of renewable energy existing, to date, in the archipelago.

It is a great pleasure for eedas to be able to contribute to the development of the archipelago through projects with non-conventional sources of renewable energy, which not only help care for the environment, but also save energy and reduce bills. We will continue working to continue supporting the community and the islands in improving their quality of life, advancing towards a prosperous and first-rate future.
